Where available, Shawline can supply refurbished coverlay spools (bobbins) for Gen 1 and Gen 2 tape feeder elements as follows;

Refurbished coverlay spools will be supplied with a 55cm length of crossgrain ribbon tethered to the spool (not using an elastic band) and fitted with a 22mm general office duty paperclip for knotting the coverlay tape!

The outer (white) nylon section will be inspected to have no serious cracks or chips that will hinder smooth rotation. Used nylon parts may be contaminated with dirt or sooty deposits that are difficult to clean, nevertheless judged to be functional. We may decide to replace the nylon outer section altogether. Pricing will be based on a mix of new and used outer sections, without differentiation.
